Continuity of preschool and primary education: some pedagogical tools for the development of future educators’ ability to successfully implement

Abstract

The problem of the ability of future teachers to successfully implement continuity, in particular, preschool and primary education, does not lose its relevance. This has been convincingly proven by both domestic scientists and practitioners, as well as foreign educators. The article is devoted to the deepening of scientific ideas about the phenomenology of continuity, to the understanding of some innovative approaches to the preparation of specialists to successfully and fully implement the pedagogical principle of continuity in professional activity. As a result of the study and generalization of scientific sources, it is stated that it is the higher pedagogical school that is able to systematically prepare the future specialist for the high-quality implementation of the specified segment of professional activity. The originality of the main vectors of continuity in the subsystem «preschool education institution - primary school» is proven, which determines the basic emphasis in the professional training of future specialists. As content, the labor functions of a modern educator are considered according to the standard adopted in Ukraine. Those focuses of pedagogical innovations that directly or indirectly provide quality training of future teachers of preschool education institutions to ensure the basis of continuity in the activities of primary school teachers have been updated. The readiness of specialists to «understand», «recognize» and «accept» the pet as he is is considered imperative. Based on the results of self-reflection of teaching experience, a generalization is made regarding the constructiveness of introducing interactive technologies into the educational process of the higher pedagogical school. It is this approach that is recognized as effective in connection with the purposeful formation of students’ competent implementation of the principle of continuity in educational and professional activities.
