Abstract

The state of human health requires compliance with certain rules aimed at maintaining
and developing a high standard of living and is based on the optimal combination of work and
rest, nutrition, abstinence from bad habits, exercise, the ability to use recovery One of the main
in a healthy lifestyle is balanced diet.
Today, it is difficult to find those who, taking care of their health, try to eat only healthy
food. This trend is especially prevalent among students, whose diet mainly consists of what can
be bought cheaper and cooked faster. Recently, many Ukrainian scientists have noted an
increase in morbidity among students.
The aim of our study was to determine the subjective assessment of nutrition and physical
condition of students at the Faculty of Education of Izmail State University for the Humanities.
Our research also aimed to identify the main mistakes of nutrition among students.
We developed and offered a group of students a method of questionnaires. It was used to
assess the physical development and nutrition of students. The content of the questionnaires
included data on age, marital status, the presence of bad habits, the practice of any sport, the
presence of disease, the daily set of products. The structure of food was evaluated by total
calories, the content of essential nutrients. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data, it was
found that the physical development and level of health of the majority of student youth cannot
be considered satisfactory. These data require not only the introduction of dietary nutrition, but
also the development of the concept of healthy eating.
Thus, given the results, we can draw the following conclusions:
The main mistake of students is not to follow a diet. It is established that raising the level
of education of student youth on healthy eating is one of the priority tasks in motivating a healthy
lifestyle. Existing curricula of medical and biological disciplines do not provide opportunities to
improve this knowledge and develop skills. Given the trends in the European development of
higher education in Ukraine, it is necessary to take into account the urgent need to increase the
level of valeological orientation, and the introduction of relevant topics, subjects and health
technologies in the educational process of higher education.
