Albanian issues in modern scientific developments
Abstract
The modern achievements of scientists in Albanian history, their problem-thematic priorities are highlighted. The main principle of the implementation of Ukraine’s foreign policy at the present stage is the further development of interstate cooperation. Within the framework of the post-Soviet space, relations between Ukraine and Albania are of undoubted importance. The aforementioned prompts scientists to theoretically comprehend the priority foundations for the implementation of Ukrainian-Albanian relations. That is why in recent years there has been an increase in scientific interest in various aspects of Albanian problems. The purpose of the article is to analyze the scientific heritage of modern researchers in the plane of Albanian history, international contacts, Ukrainian-Albanian relations, taking into account new publications. The methodology of this study is based on general scientific principles (historicity, objectivity, scientific nature) and historical and scientific methods (historical-typological, historical-comparative, chronological), which made it possible to objectively reveal the multidimensionality of modern historiography on the issues of Albanian history, the potential for activating and optimizing further research this issue. The analysis confirms the growth in the number of studies on Albanian history at different stages of its development. The problem under study is complex and interdisciplinary. Both historians and sociologists, political scientists, economists, culturologists, and lawyers are working on it. The problems of scientific developments are characterized by diversity: promising directions and forms of interstate mutual contacts, the essence and ways of overcoming the Kosovo conflict, analysis of ethnocultural relations between countries, partnership in the humanitarian sphere, etc. The study of historiography shows that in the entire body of existing literature there are practically no complex works on the chosen topic. However, thorough studies of individual aspects of Albanian history serve as the basis for the creation of generalizing works.
